SERRA PISTOIESE
The enchanting sites which can be seen among the sober stone
houses are the main attraction in Serra Pistoiese, an ancient village
which was already known in 1040 to be the stronghold of the Counts
Alberti di Capraia. Donated to Pistoia at the end of the 13th century
and rebuilt after its destruction in 1327, Serra preserves its original
architecture, with one single road which winds along the ridge of
the mountain and connects the two access gates.
